Having a hard time understanding credit and how it affects you? Would you like to learn how to improve your credit score? This free workshop will discuss the basics of reading a credit report and explain the credit score and scoring models. As part of the Boston Builds Credit, we want you to understand (1) why credit is important, (2) that you don’t have to be rich to have good credit but you need to understand how the system works, and (3) there are free resources right in your neighborhood, such as the coaching here at the Roxbury Center to help you build your credit.

NOAH offers CHAPA-certified first-time homebuyer education classes as well as free individual counseling for everyone. There is a registration fee of $50 per person or $65 for two individuals registering together for the classes. Learn everything you need to know about how to purchase your new home wisely. Guest speakers include realtors, lenders, home inspectors, Boston Public Health Commission staff, and more. Please note: Refunds cannot be given to those canceling within seven business days of the class.

To obtain the certificate you must attended all the classes. You will receive at the end of the program a letter of completion. Certificates take 5 to 7 business days to be issued. In order to obtain your certificate you must provide NOAH the following documents (we do not need these documents prior to your taking the class): Loan Application, Loan Estimate, and Purchase and Sale agreement.
